Sam Church draws live!

Our man Sam Church has recently been commissioned in an exciting live drawing role for The Tobacco Factory theatre, and their production of Shakespeare's King Lear. For this he has gone back to basics, armed with just a sketchbook and a handful of materials, drawing the action as it happens during the actors' readings, rehearsals and performances. His work will be exhibited in the theatre during the run of shows, providing a real insight into the backstage goings on, as a dramatic production is born! Serge Seidlitz Jigsaw Puzzles

Serge Seidltz was commissioned by Educational Insights to design 8 children's jigsaw puzzles. Each puzzle is made up of between 24 and 48 pieces with words printed on one side and parts of the picture on the other.
The puzzles work by choosing a piece, reading the word on it and searching the puzzle tray for the synonym to that word and then setting the piece in place. Finishing the puzzle then reveals the hidden picture.

Oscar Wilson – Gil Scott-Heron Book Cover

Oscar Wilson has been working with Canongate Books on the cover art for the
postumous memoir of Gil Scott Heron entitled The Last Holiday. Oscar worked
closely with the team at Canongate to create this iconic image of Gil made
from selected poems and lyrics.

Gil Scott-Heron's Publisher and friend Jamie Byng said of the work: "I think
Oscar has created an iconic image of Gil and one that will become widely
known and it makes the whole book come together beautifully. Words were so
important in Gil's life and he loved playing with them so having this image
of him in which he is literally made of words seems perfectly apt especially
for a memoir which is made up of his words."
