The Surreal and Assemblage Art Form of Box Art

DSC_0677

Joseph Cornell's work was recently exhibited  at the RCA this summer, and his work inspired a number of creative art directors and designers to explore this surreal and assemblage art form.

One of my artists, a wood sculptor Ray Winder, was also inspired to produce some works of his own here is the first in what will be a series of "Shadow Art" Mr. Darwin's Cabinet.

Every box is handmade and hand selected items are procured for a one off piece of artwork. More box art will be featured shortly on the website !
