Martyn Pick is a British Director and Animator - he is recognised for his distinctive fusion of live action and animation, and his fluid painterly style of his film making, and so he was the ideal choice to commission him on these digital paintings for Hellfire a TV series being developed at the moment by Andrew Blackall and Paolo Russo.
Hellfire is centered on Sir Francis Dashwood an 18th century English aristocrat and politician, notorious for creating the Hellfire Club: a decadent exclusive club for wealthy rakes. But the story has a far broader sweep beyond these debauched excesses. Interwoven are Benjamin Franklin, the American War of Independence, The Jacobite Rebellion, George 111 and the Gordon riots. It is an epic world of public and private lives igniting war, murder, intrigue and betrayal against a backdrop of love, secret societies and an obsession with ultimate power. Though set in Georgian Britain it clearly mirrors our 21st century's globalised world.
