Jean Jullien – Eurostar

For a Frenchman living (until recently) in London, Eurostar are in many ways the perfect client for Jean Jullien. Add to the mix they’re celebrating their 20th birthday and were looking to poke some gentle fun at the differences between the Brits and the French and and you’ve got pretty much the perfect brief for Monsieur Jullien.

For the anniversary #BetterCloser campaign, Jean was tasked with illustrating five anecdotal observations as to how Eurostar has shifted the Anglo/French perceptions and relations. Jean was asked to inject his trademark humour to proceedings and created a series of brilliant illustrations.

The campaign, art directed and masterminded by The Clearing, is now live and adorning huge billboards at both Kings Cross and Gare du Nord. It can also be seen extensively within the stations and a short animation is running on the escalators. Très bon.

'FOUND IT' is the 2014 Debenhams Christmas Campaign; created by Nina Hunter and commissioned by JWT London.

Nina was involved from the concept stage where the "found it" idea was in its primary form. Going through various design stages and looks - from a bold to a more decorative style, the result is a simple effective design. The idea was to create the "found it" keyword from beautiful Christmas icons, Nina says "It was a fantastic experience working with the art directors at JWT. I enjoyed the creative process and loved how each stage was unique and beautiful. I'm very proud of this highlight in my career".

Free running is a form of urban acrobatics in which participants, known as free runners, use the city and rural landscape to perform movements through its structures. It incorporates efficient movements from parkour, adds aesthetic vaults and other acrobatics, such as tricking and street stunts, creating an athletic and aesthetically pleasing way of moving. It is commonly practiced at gymnasiums and in urban areas that are cluttered with obstacle
