AMV recently contacted Phosphor Art with details of a mammoth project for BT Sport - an Out of Home campaign promoting 'Four Competitions, One Venue'. The resulting artwork focused on the mascots of several football teams from The Europa League, The Champions League, The FA Cup and The Premier League. Jon Rogers was tasked with painting each mascot in a classical renaissance style, fighting no holds barred towards a football.
Every now and then we come across a new illustrator and their work just grabs us by the head and heart and shouts "SIGN ME". That was certainly the case when we first came across Quentin Monge, who's work is a sublime cacophony of colour, patterns and characters. Luckily (for us) Quentin was open to our amorous advances and we're happy to announce him as our latest signing. So that just leaves one question to be answered, who's going to be the first person to commission him?
These delightful character designs by Kristyna Litten were based on real DFS employees, for their new advertising campaign launched this month. The TV adverts make heroes from the talented team of craftsmen and women behind the UK's largest sofa manufacturer. Kristyna worked from photographs of each person and was asked to interpret them as if they were made of the materials used to make DFS sofas.
