Claude on the Slopes by Alex T Smith

Alex T Smith's seventh book in the wonderful Claude series, is published by Hodder this month in glorious hardback, just in time for Christmas. Claude on the Slopes is a wintery adventure - Claude and his best friend Sir Bobblysock discover snow for the first time as well as the perils of using your "outdoor voice" on the snowy slopes!
Congratulations also go to Alex whose fantastic book, Claude in the Spotlight has been nominated for the prestigious CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal 2014 AND the Surrey Libraries Children's Book Award. We've got our fingers crossed for both.

A wonderful illustration commission came in for Richard Johnson and we are pleased to be able to show you the results! Usborne publishing asked Richard to contribute to their fabulous new three book anthology, 'Stories for Bedtime', and Richard's incredible work does not disappoint! The Cute Little Sophie Souris

We would like to introduce you to Sophie Souris, the latest character from the ever imaginative Sophie Tilley. Sophie Souris is a little French mouse who has a beautiful vintage style dress shop and a heart of gold.

NATURAL CURIOSITIES

Chris Ede has created this piece for David Attenborough's Natural Curiosities, a new TV series aired on the Eden channel. The art, commissioned by Red Bee Media has been in the Guardian as an A3 fold out poster, and in many major newspapers as a standard advertisement. Trine Johnson, producer at Red Bee Media says: "It was an absolute pleasure to work with Chris on this project. He was full of great ideas and suggestions and he worked tirelessly to get the piece right." Chris Ede is represented by Illustration Ltd

Levi Pinfold Joins Arena

We've long admired Levi Pinfold's illustrations, so we're delighted to welcome him on board the good ship, Arena.
Some of you may be familiar with Levi's first picture book, The Django (Templar), based on the story of legendary jazz musician Django Reinhardt which was shortlisted for the English Best Children's Illustrated Book Award in 2011. Levi was voted Best Emerging Illustrator in the Early Years Awards in 2010 and he also won the Booktrust Best New Illustrators Award in 2011.
Since graduating in 2006 he has become well known for his detailed paintings and charming storytelling style. Levi's second book, Black Dog, was published to critical acclaim in 2011 and he's working on a new picture book with Templar at the moment.

Pete Harrison

NedBank commissioned Pete Harrison to illustrate their recent print campaign. The South African Bank asked Pete to illustrate some of the greatest partnerships of the natural world for a series of adverts.
