We are delighted to announce Darya Shnykina as the winner of the Book Illustration Competition 2017 – a student of the Moscow State University of Printing Arts.

Darya was presented with a prestigious commission worth £5,000, to illustrate The Folio Society’s new edition of Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park, by eminent historian Lucy Worsley during a ceremony at House of Illustration on Thursday 23 February.

Alex T. Smith Wins Sainsbury’s Children’s 5-9 Fiction Award!

Great news! Fans of Alex T. Smith's adorable character Claude will be delighted that Going for Gold has won the 5-9 year old Fiction category of the prestigious Sainsbury's Children's Book Awards 2016. Claude can't wait to take part in a Very Exciting Sports Competition to win the gold cup, until a pair of shifty robbers steal it! Patrick George wins UN’s World Wildlife Day poster competition

Patrick George's poster was one of the three winning images from the UN's World Wildlife Day poster competition organised by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna (CITES), with this inspirational and clever depiction of an elephant against the blue background of the UN flag.

Levi Pinfold’s Greenling Wins English Association Book Award

Benji Davies wins Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Award

Benji Davies’ Grandad’s Island (Simon & Schuster) has done the double at this years Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Awards winning both the best picture book prize and being crowned overall children’s book of the year, beating off competition from three other category winners.

We were delighted to hear that  'Chicken Mission - Danger In The Deep
Dark Woods'  published by Faber Children’s scooped the prize. Hannah
loves illustrating these action packed adventures about Amy
Cluckbucket - The Kung Foo Chicken, with a few of the characters being
based on her own pet hens!

Imaginary maps from Dave Hopkins

Creative Review's Ad of the Week features a series of three ancient maps for Whiskas illustrated in fine detail by Dave Hopkins. Dave Hopkins worked closely with the AMV team over two months to create these highly acclaimed and innovative ads which have been entered for the prestigious  Cannes awards.
