Matthew Laznicka was thrilled with his commission from Hearst Publishing’s Popular Mechanics.
Originally commissioned as an editorial illustration, the success of the image meant the magazine decided to use it for the May 2011 cover. Matthew says “It had always been my dream to be on the cover. My father and grandfather were always subscribers and I loved as a child going through the old box my grandad had dating back to the 40's.”

Pete Harrison was commissioned by Beautiful Books to create this fantastic cover artwork for ‘Romeo Spikes’ by Joanne Reay. Pete was asked to design the tattoo around key elements from the story. He then illustrated it over a photograph to create this striking image. Pete has previously created similar designs for Hyundai’s press campaign in South Africa.

James Brown produced this brilliant cover for the ‘The Unreliable Life of Harry The Valet’ in collaboration with Meiklejohn artist Piers Sanford. The combination of James’ retro typography and Piers’ etching created a great Victorian Billboard feel for this true story of the most infamous Victorian Jewel thief.
