Catherall combines an expert eye for composition and colour with consummate draughtsmanship to create striking and iconic images. He is renowned for his clean, sharp linocuts of architectural landmarks and draws his inspiration from mid 20th century poster designers such as Tom Eckersley and Edward Wadsworth.

Kings College London commissioned Bill Sanderson to draw this wonderful portrait of Peter Higgs of Higgs boson fame. Peter Higgs was an Edinburgh University physicist working on the origins of mass and the related Large Hadron colider. A specialist area indeed, but Bill managed to to bring life and interest to his subject matter in a way only he can.
