Malika Favre – Budweiser

Beer brands don't get bigger than Budweiser, so when they approached Malika Favre and asked her to design their limited edition summer packaging, she jumped at the chance. The all American brief, saw Malika taking on the iconic lady Liberty in her signature bold, minimalist vector style. The results are so good they just make us want to grab a beer.

The Lynx Axe Range

Chris Ede works on a mammoth packaging commission for the Lynx/Axe brand.

Art directed by Utd Studio, Chris has designed nine packaging illustrations for these box sets which are hitting the shelves for Christmas. Chris has created masculine, urban and attractive artworks and says "The brief was to capture the essence of each deodorant brand logo name in the form of an illustration within a dynamic triangular framework."

Steve Gilligan of Utd Studio says of Chris's part in the project:-

"Upon finding Chris Ede within the www.illustrationweb.com site we were immediately struck by the depth and intricate layering of his artwork. A three way paid creative pitch ensued with Chris bringing a level of story telling that captured the essence of the fragrance and hit the brief bang on. Selecting Chris as the winner was simple!

Chris quickly got up to speed and worked tirelessly both with the commissioning agency and the ultimate end client to work through a series of 9 illustrations Chris began with mood boards and rough sketches that provided the heart of his vision. Then following feedback he worked through the range with creativity, craft and professionalism. Even towards the end when a couple were tough to crack, Chris continued to work with the same level of enthusiasm as he began the project.

The final result was a creative yet cohesive range of gift packs that each had their own unique visual story and a very happy client."

Biscuits from the Isle of Mull

Adam Larkum decorates these biscuit boxes with some expressive Scottish characters.

This commission came from Ziggurat Brands for their client Island Bakery. Adam worked with the agency to update the packaging for the range of biscuits from the 'bakers of deliciously indulgent organic biscuits on the Hebridean Isle of Mull, Scotland'. Adam says "They have been a fantastic client and have to date sent me over 40 packets of their biscuits to help me get into the brand. At the moment I am animating little sequences for their new website and having a ball working on it. This has been one of my favourite commissions so far."

Lang is one of the finest*

Helen Lang works on several product and packaging concepts for the Tesco finest* range.
Commissioned by P&W London, Helen created the hand lettering for three dipping oils and rapeseed oil. She says "The brief was to make it look hand rendered as though someone had created their own infusions and written on the labels as a home cook would do." More products with Helen's work will be released soon.
