One year ago, the talented V&A Award winning illustrator Yehrin Tong was approached by Virago - a British publisher committed to championing women's voices - to work with them on a series of 13 books written by influential women writers throughout history, creating stunning title covers in her signature, widely admired repeat-pattern style.
Once again Esther Cox's work adorns London Transport Tube Stations.
New work from the fabulously talented Esther Cox is now being shown on the Artist Partners website. Esther's work will soon be exhibited at the London Transport Museum which will be celebrating women artists in poster design. Esther produced two designs for the London Transport earlier this year - Excitingly they are now available to see on the tube network.
We're excited to reveal an advanced look at Yehrin Tong’s design for one of the latest Virago Modern Classic titles, due to be published in January 2018 to coincide with the imprint’s 40th Anniversary. The wonderful Yehrin created this beautiful pattern, featuring on the cover of the upcoming title ‘Writers As Readers: A Celebration of Virago Modern Classics’, which will be available from the start of next year in the form of a lovely gift hardback.
Artist Partners are delighted to add Esther Cox to their talented list of artists - and very delighted we are too. Esther who comes from a surface pattern design background - loves to work with textures, and bright bold colours, and has a great sense of modern vintage about her work.
Since 2003 Guy Mckinley has been consistently producing character heavy, offbeat, colourful illustrations. A Japanese influence is clearly visible in a lot of his work and so pattern, colour and detailing run strongly throughout. McKinley’s work is infused with his love of old comic and storybook art from his youth.

The store in South Molten Street, London was host to an evening of celebration and where Hannah's work for this new collection could be seen. Her nature inspired patterned artwork represents the new Chakra collection and has been used across all the promotion and as a backdrop projection on the night. She says "The opening was a chance for me to see the illustration in large scale and also meet Mr Sabo and the lovely team I have been creating this illustration for."
