Tomislav Tomić: The Orange Fairy Book for The Folio Society

Tomislav Tomić exquisite illustrations adorn Andrew Lang's The Orange Fairy Book. Tomislav illustrated thirteen full-colour plates, the cover, numerous black and white interiors and the endpapers for the final title in the Rainbow Fairy Book series published this month, by The Folio Society.

With stories from as far afield as India and Iceland, including Hans Christian Anderson's timeless 'The Ugly Duckling', this is a beautifully produced volume, with coloured top-page edges and luxurious Caxton Wove paper.

Claude in the Spotlight by Alex T Smith

Published by Hodder in April, Claude in the Spotlight is the fifth book in the popular Claude series written and illustrated by the very talented Alex T Smith. Claude and Sir Bobblysock's gentle stroll through town leads to leg kicking and bottom shaking as they dance their way into the theatre and straight into a local variety show. The winning prize is all the cakes you can eat from the delectable Mr Lovelybuns Bakery, how could they resist? Sue Hendra’s ‘Wanda and the Alien’ – From book to TV!

We are very excited to announce that Wanda and the Alien, authored and illustrated by one of our most established artists Sue Hendra,  has been chosen by Channel 5’s Milkshake for a new TV series!

The story; an original collection of children’s books published by Random House will be made into a series of 52 ten minute programmes and follows a little girl rabbit that meets and an alien who she becomes friends with.

The first episode is expected to air in 2013.

Country Companions – illustrated by Simon Taylor-Kielty is set for Spanish publication

We can announced that two books based on hit Hallmark brand, Country Companions, are set to be published in Spain. Although the titles, Love and Dearest Mum, have only just been published in the UK through Egmont, Spanish publishing rights have already been snapped up by Ediciones B. Both books have been written by Helen Ford with illustrations by Simon Taylor-Kielty and feature the cast of the Country Companions brand, including Tom Mouse, Ed Hedgehog, Sam Rabbit and Badger.
