Andy Ward creates a regular illustration for Independent School Parent Magazine.
Andy Ward creates a regular illustration for Independent School Parent Magazine and in the current winter issue he illustrates an article about the Standard Practices of Houseparents in boarding schools. The article is entitled ‘ Home is Where the Houseparent is. Andy says ‘ I’ve shown the houseparent as a warm, motherly figure. I've increased her size to reflect her importance to the students, a giant of a figure with a reach that covers many children. She is seen as someone to rely on in times of need, to help with studies, reward and praise and support through illness. In the background I have a blue sky with a little grey cloud above the overseas student who is being comforted for homesickness.’
