Carole Verbyst – CIBSE Journal
Belgian illustrator and designer Carole Verbyst was called upon to create an illustration for the cover of the CIBSE Journal careers supplement.
The idea was to have a cover with the headline 'Smart careers' which is a play on the words on 'smart grid'. The smart grid connects buildings and energy sources in an intelligent way using data and Internet of Things technology. The final concept was to depict a 'smart grid' connected built environment, which included a variety of building types and modern technology.
