Matt Murphy – Rapha/Mondial
Anyone who knows about cycling, knows about Rapha, and Matt Murphy was delighted to create some stunning imagery for the latest Mondial, Rapha's beautiful magazine.
He was asked to illustrate the cycling craze throughout the ages, to accompany an article written by DJ Taylor. He created depictions of women and the empowerment that the bike gave them, showing a sense of adventure and discovery, and the sense of the bike craze in the 1890s and 1900s freeing men and women of all classes from the constraints of Victorian and Edwardian society. With Matt's bold and graphic modern style, what a great combination.
