The Association of Illustrators’ World Illustration Awards exhibition
The Association of Illustrators’ World Illustration Awards exhibition (WIA) opened at Somerset House in central London on Thursday 7th June with a very well attended Private View in the evening. The Association mounts the Awards and exhibition in partnership with The Directory of Illustration and Somerset House. The Awards now attracts great interest from illustrators worldwide – this year the number of entries was up by a third (to about 3300 entries) and from about 75 countries. The exhibition ran until 20th June. The 2017 exhibition attracted about 50,000 visitors.
The Awards are judged by high profile, globally recognised industry professionals and commissioners located around the world. Many illustrators represented by SAA member agencies
