Sam Falconer / Barron’s Magazine 100th issue double-cover
Barron’s commissioned top illustrators across the globe to submit ideas for their centennial issue. Artist Sam Falconer was selected from that group to create illustrations for two covers celebrating the centennial issue of Barron’s Magazine.
Sam was tasked with creating a visual interpretation that looks back on money and investing over the last 100 years, how it has shaped our lives, and also what the future may hold. The first cover shows where we’ve been— there are allusions to the tech boom, fast food, and credit cards. The second cover is an educated, yet imagined idea of where money is headed— VR, alternate forms of energy, and of course, robots.
