Jhon Boy Wins First Prize

Phosphor's Jhon Boy recently won first prize at the Versiona Thyssen XIII, an open international competition for young creators. Artists are encouraged to make their own version of one of the paintings of the collection in the Thyssen Museum. Jhon Boy's piece recreated Charles Willson Peale's portrait of The Stewart Children in his signature style.

The 13th edition of #VersionaThyssen featured Alexey Kondakov, SakoAsko and Chamosan as guest artists and jury members. The awards ceremony was held in the museum's garden in June and featured a performance by Dani.

The Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum is an art museum in Madrid, Spain. It is known as part of the "Golden Triangle of Art", which also includes the Prado and the Reina Sofía national galleries. Find out more about the competition and enter next time here.
