Lynn Hatzius Shortlisted for World Illustration Awards

Phosphor's Lynn Hatzius has been shortlisted for the AOI's World Illustration Awards 2025. Lynn submitted a series of collages she created for an A Level textbook, published by Liber for use at Swedish high schools.
Lynn says: "The Swedish educational publisher had seen my personal collages, which often reveal my own subconscious thoughts and emotions. I was given complete freedom to approach this subject matter through the same intuitive process, visualising aspects such as our thoughts, feelings, behaviour, mental health/illness. The aim was to introduce the students to each chapter in a poetic, mind opening way.".
Lynn Hatzius is a German/British artist now living in Sweden. She spent 17 years in London establishing her career as an illustrator and working for major publishing houses such as Penguin, Random House, Simon & Schuster and Harper Collins. After completing a BA in illustration at Kingston University she went on to explore her visual language on an MA printmaking course. Her move to the Swedish countryside has made nature her favoured subject matter, both in her personal and commissioned work.
