‘The Tragic Tale of Dwayne, The Eating Monster’

We are proud to announce that Valentina Mendicino's first children's picture book as author and artist, published by Top That! Publishing, is hitting the shelves this month. 'The Tragic Tale of Dwayne, The Eating Monster' is the hilarious story of one little monster's insatiable appetite. He eats and eats, and grows and grows, until.... well you'll just have to find out his fate for yourselves! Valentina's striking and original artwork conveys the story perfectly, and we are pleased and excited to be part of the blossoming career of an artist and author who is definitely one to watch over the coming months.

Entertaining Etiquette

'The Debrett’s Guide to Entertaining Etiquette' is brimming with the illustrative work of Kavel Rafferty. And now available to buy, this book is hard to resist purchasing because of the beauty of Kavel's drawing. Karen Wilks, designer of the book says "Working with Kavel was an absolute pleasure, with over 60 illustrations in the book we worked in batches. Kavel understood exactly what we were trying to achieve and was very accommodating and all the deadlines were met on time. The day each batch arrived was a day I really looked forward to, it was like unwrapping presents, everyone was a gem and her compositions and colour palette worked perfectly. Kavel brings warmth and humour to all her work combining her painting and photoshop skills beautifully with a small nod towards her interest in the 50’s and 60’s. I very much hope we have a chance to work together again soon."

San Francisco Scarf

Jennifer Maravillas's collaboration with The Bold Italic has resulted in this beautiful silk scarf based on her vibrant map of San Francisco. "Jennifer was inspired by "the many colors to be seen around the city: the cold hues of the Pacific, the shades of succulents, wild and overgrown hidden trails, the elusive sunlight, newly painted boats, rainbow salt ponds, bridges, painted Victorians, patterned tiles of taquerias, produce stacked and waiting, the hippies and the hipsters, people watching people watching people, silver rooftops, the blur of bicycles passing, and of course, the gray fog." (The Bold Italic Shop).  You can buy the scarf here.
