NILA AYE, GARRY WALTON & HARRY MILBURN – GOODWOOD REVIVAL

Three of our fantastic artists created illustrations for the 2026 Goodwood Revival Programme, celebrating all things Italian with its La Dolce Vita theme.  The pizza-box-inspired cover features a fabulous character illustration by Nila Aye.

Whilst Garry Walton created pastiche illustrations inspired by vintage Action Man brochures for a feature on motor sport legend Jack Brabham.

Harry Milburn illustrated a series of wonderfully tongue-in-cheek images for a recreation of a retro Italian Highway Code. 

JULIA ALLUM – SOUTH NORFOLK & BROADLAND DISTRICT COUNCIL

We’re thrilled to share Julia Allum’s striking new mural, commissioned to celebrate the heritage of Wymondham in Norfolk.

Depicting the town’s landmarks and history, this was wonderful project that Julia loved working on from the original conception to the final painted mural and has resulted in a vibrant piece of public art that is bringing joy to residents and visitors to the town.

SIAN ROPER – NEW ARTIST

Introducing Sian Roper, the latest illustrator to join Meiklejohn. Sian creates vibrant collages and animations by combining hand-crafted textures and found imagery. Her work is characterised by graphic simplicity and richly layered textures that feel tactile, contemporary and full of depth to communicate ideas with clarity, optimism and impact.

HARRY MILBURN – RADIO TIMES

Harry Milburn was thrilled to work on two illustrated covers for Radio Times, designed to celebrate the start of the 2026/27 Premier League and Scottish Premiership season. With its rich history of creating fabulous, illustrated covers, Radio Times gave Harry the perfect opportunity to combine his love of football with his bold and nostalgic illustration style.

HELLO MARINE – L’ÉCOLE DES LOISIRS

Hello Marine has created brand new cover art for a trio of Judy Blume’s classic young adult titles in her native French; giving them a fresh update in her contemporary and vibrant style. Trois Amies (the French translation of Just as Long as We're Together), the sequel, Tiens Bon, Rachel! (Here's to You, Rachel Robinson!) and lastly, Pour Toujours (Forever).

JULIA ALLUM – HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW

Commissioned by the team at Harvard Business Review for a special issue on How to Collaborate Better, Julia developed a collection of concept-driven illustrations in her distinctive minimalist style. With her trademark use of scale and visual metaphor, Julia’s illustrations explore the different aspects of collaboration with clarity and wit.

Written by the legendary poet Benjamin Zephaniah, this joyful book has been brought to life by Nila Aye’s enchanting illustrations. From playful characters to whimsical scenes, Nila's illustrations capture the heart of Zephaniah's words in the most magical way.

ZARA PICKEN – ENGLISH NATIONAL BALLET

Zara Picken created the most magical illustration for the English National Ballet's production of My First Ballet: Cinderella. Used across the advertising, publicity and merchandise of the production, Zara’s theatrical paper-craft illustration is richly layered, capturing the charm of this beloved and timeless story in a visually powerful way.

HARRY MILBURN – PAN MACMILLAN

Harry was thrilled to be asked to create four new covers for the reissued classics written by Gerald Durrell; The Drunken Forest, The Picnic and Suchlike Pandemonium, Marrying Off Mother & Rosy Is My Relative. The illustrations showcase Harry’s ability to blend contemporary style with a sense of nostalgia, along with his sharp eye for humour and design.

Sarah Tanat-Jones – The Observer

Sarah Tanat-Jones illustrated the cover and inside feature for The New Review, Poems for Mother’s Day for The Observer.

From Homer to Sylvia Plath, poets have been moved by parenthood and in this feature Poet laureate Simon Armitage introduces a selection of beautiful poems chosen especially to celebrate the special day.

Creating contemporary and timeless illustrations to accompany the selection, Sarah’s images are striking in their simplicity, showcasing her expressive line work and fluid forms, brought to life with a fresh colour palette, perfectly capturing the spirit of the poems whilst adding her own distinctive voice.
