We’re thrilled to welcome Harry Milburn to the Meiklejohn team. With a background in design and publishing, Harry’s impressive illustrations have been commissioned by a diverse range of clients, making him equally at home creating an epic travel-style poster or a graphic, concept-driven visual.
Inspired by his love of nature and travel, Harry’s confident, eye-catching style has a distinctive textural quality and rich colour palette, often influenced by mid-century illustration and vintage signage.
Lucy Davey has illustrated 3 walking guide covers for the islands of Scotland for Pocket Mountains written by Peter Edwards. Taking inspiration from the landscapes of Brian Cook, she said, ‘I've worked with Robbie Porteous from Pocket Mountains on a few projects now. The Uist cover is my favourite - I always enjoy depicting water in my illustrations and I particularly like the colour combinations in this one.’

Lucy Davey has illustrated the perfect walking holiday essential, handy pocket guides for 4 locations across Scotland, published by Pocket Mountains Ltd.
With a look inspired by vintage travel posters, Lucy has captured specific landmarks relevant to the four locations (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Sterling and Falkirk), as well as creating around 30 inside illustrations for each book, “It was a dream brief in many ways – I loved learning about all these landmarks of Scotland and really enjoyed adding the nature and wildlife elements to the images.”
Each book has a distinct colour palette which Lucy uses to great effect throughout, making them a wonderfully visually satisfying set;
“The printed books are so cute and satisfying, I’m so pleased with how they turned out!
