Gabriel Moreno – Primark Gran Via
Last spring Gabriel Moreno was requested to be part of the decoration in the new Primark store on Gran Vía street. In this commission Gabriel mixed his artistic side with the commercial one for the creation of this 'shopping concept', fashion paradise and art gallery.
For this assignment Gabriel integrated classic drawing techniques with contemporary compositions. His biggest challenge was to create an abstract illustration in such dimension, using lines, waves and watercolour to evoke a universe of movement, dynamism and huge visual impact. His creative designs and the path of his wavy lines are spread all around the store.
The detail and development of his wavy abstract lines mark the stair path and cover approximately 200 square meters.
His illustrations can be seen in the logo, next to the front entrance and also in the mechanic and service stairs. He decided to focus on the lines of a women's hair and, without thinking about the path, let his hands flowed like a liquid substance. A real show, in every sense of the word.
Along with the applied decoration on the walls of the service stairs, Gabriel's work is highlighted with light boxes that blend with the clothing giving more artistic touches to the store.
