Just Our Type: Introducing Adam Carter
Phosphor Art are pleased to introduce you to Adam Carter, a lettering and graffiti artist from North London who specialises in large scale artwork and live murals, whilst also creating hand-drawn type for ad campaigns, editorial layouts and packaging.
Adam says: “Having studied Graphic Design for seven years and worked as a designer for just as long, I have always been drawn to type. Graffiti has been in my life for as long as I can remember, so my eye has always naturally been drawn to colour, large scale work and different styles and ways to create letters.”
“I love getting my hands dirty with pens and inks, but also appreciate crafting something on the computer. Photoshop and Illustrator are my tools of choice – not forgetting my worryingly increasing arsenal of pens, inks and paper.”
Adam has worked for brands including McDonald’s, Waitrose, ESSO, Volkswagen and YouTube and is now looking to expand his client base along with his portfolio. Because of his background in graffiti, Adam would love to work on more large scale pieces, whether it be a mural for an office space or live artwork for an event.
