NB WELCOMES STEFANO TAMBELLINI
Stefano Tambellini was born in a small town in Tuscany (Italy). In 2009 he graduated in Traditional Hand-Drawn Animation at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Torino and then moved to London, where he lived for 5 years, starting to work as a freelance illustrator. He lives with a grey cat called Mandragola and he’s also a stop-motion puppet maker and filmmaker. In 2005 he co-founded with his sister Alice the animation label SenzaTesta.
In his work he particularly loves to deal with monsters, strange stories, science fiction, old classics, weird creatures, mystery tales and atmospheric fantasy. He works both with traditional pen & ink and digital techniques as he always puts the utmost attention in creating a unique visual atmosphere, searching the right graphic approach that can really enhance the reader’s immersion into the story.
His main focus is to work on books for children, book covers and highly illustrated fiction and non-fiction titles for kids and adults, but he also enjoys different kind of illustration projects from editorial to diverse design.
