Bill Sanderson illustrates Tolkein
Phosphor Art's Bill Sanderson recently illustrated some title pages for J.R.R. Tolkien's Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
It was Bill's idea to use a letter as part of the design - the initial for the subject of the text in question - Garwain, Pearl, and Orfero. Bill used his signature scraperboard style to complete the artwork for publisher Harper Collins. This first image is just a taster - the book will be out in the shops on the 1st April.
