Set in the mysterious Ryhope Wood of Herefordshire, Mythago Wood is a rich tapestry of folklore, memory, and the subconscious, where ancient myths come to life. In his foreword, John recounts his personal journey with the novel, from discovering it in a Swiss bookshop in 1989 to eventually illustrating its covers and forming a lasting friendship with Holdstock.
