Jonathan Leach’s Fairy Tale Job
Uncommon creative studios in New York commissioned Phosphor's Jonathan Leach to work on 29 black and white pen illustrations and a cover for a book containing traditional fairy stories updated for a mature audience.
The book, Once Upon a Property, was a promotion for a realtor company (or estate agent, as we know them in the UK).
Creating illustrations that pay homage to the illustration style of classic fairy tales was a dream project for Jonathan, although the timing was tight and he had a lot of late nights! Thankfully the client made the whole process really enjoyable and everyone lived happily ever after.
