CHRISTOPHER GIBBS – TOR FICTION COVERS

CHRISTOPHER GIBBS – TOR FICTION COVERS (Arena Illustration, illustrator, publishing)

Known for his richly layered visual storytelling, Christopher brings his signature blend of collage, photography, and digital painting to The Tomb of Dragons by Katherine Addison and Overgrowth by Mira Grant.

In The Tomb of Dragons - the final instalment of Addison’s The Cemeteries of Amalo trilogy, Christopher captures the novel’s themes of transformation and ancient mystery through a haunting composition of spiralling dragon bones and claws. The cover reflects protagonist Thara Celehar’s struggle with lost powers and political unrest in a world steeped in myth.

For Overgrowth, he delivers a minimalist yet unsettling design featuring entwined plant tendrils and organic forms. The artwork echoes the novel’s chilling blend of body horror and alien invasion, as protagonist Anastasia Miller confronts the terrifying truth of her extraterrestrial origins.

Christopher Gibbs is a staunch advocate for handcrafted digital illustration, firmly opposing the use of AI in his work. His covers are meticulously crafted using found imagery, collage, photography, and digital painting techniques, ensuring each piece is a unique, multi-faceted work of art.

Both titles are available now from Tor Publishing and Tor Nightfire.

Christopher Gibbs is represented by Arena Illustration.
