Iratxe López de Munáin for Thames & Hudson UK

Iratxe López de Munáin illustrates an interactive art kit on the life of a Master Impressionist.

Iratxe teamed up with Thames & Hudson UK to bring The Artist Box: Claude Monet vividly to life through her lively, colourful illustrations.

Designed as part of the 'Gift Lab' series, this engaging 24‑page activity kit immerses young audiences in Monet’s world. It features a 150-piece jigsaw puzzle of his Giverny garden, a fact‑filled fold‑out timeline tracing his life and personal dramas, twenty‑four creative art activities (from origami water lilies to a Monet-themed mystery), and even an iron‑on patch - all richly illustrated by Iratxe.

Opening the box reveals not only a puzzle where you can spot Monet’s studio boat, wife Camille, and characters from his famous paintings, but also invites users to experiment with his artistic techniques via fun hands-on prompts. Iratxe’s illustrations transform educational content into a playful, tactile journey that both celebrates Monet’s legacy and encourages budding artists to explore creativity in a memorable, interactive format.

Donough O’Malley for Brio Magazine

Donough O'Malley illustrates a bright editorial series for Brio Magazine.

Donough used his signature colour-blocked energy and expressive character work to a recent editorial commission for USA's Brio magazine. The article, titled Choosing to Love More by Being Offended Less, offers young readers practical, values-based advice on emotional resilience and empathy.

His illustrations translate these concepts into dynamic scenes filled with warmth, contrast, and storytelling - designed to visually support the article’s core message of responding to conflict with compassion.

A striking example of how thoughtful editorial illustration can deepen the impact of written advice.

Adrián Balastegui at Phosphor

Phosphor's Adrián Balastegui's portfolio has had a refresh and he's currently open for commissions.

Adrián Balastegui is a digital artist based in Barcelona who uses a strong colour palette. He likes to represent dreamlike and tribal worlds in his pieces and create characters distorted from reality. Adrián is always learning and trying to get out of his comfort zone, exhibiting his digital art in Amsterdam, New York, Seville and Berlin, among other places.

Adrián is inspired by Japanese art of the Edo period, the aesthetics 80s and 90s anime and the art of Jean Giraud, better known as MOEBIUS.

Léon Moh-Cah for The Standard

Phosphor's Léon Moh-Cah is known for her remarkable ability to capture not just the look of a place, but the feeling of it too. During her year-long trip across the world, she discovered The Standard Hotel in London, known for its beautifully designed interiors. Recently The Standard caught up with Léon to ask her how she discovered the hotel, which she's illustrated both inside and out, and some more about her technique.

"Travelling is my main source of inspiration for my drawings, it’s very important to me and nourishes my sketches. I travel to draw and I draw to travel. I’m lucky enough that I can do both at the same time," Léon told The Standard.

Having discovered The Standard through 'Chessidency' a chess and music event run by Donna Leake and Haseeb Iqbal in the hotel's Library Lounge, Léon went back to sketch the beautifully designed spaces. "I was sketching for 2 days non-stop," says Léon. "The first day I arrived at 11 in the morning, and I left at maybe 2am."

Continuing her collaboration with The Standard, Léon visited their Bangkok Mahanakhon hotel and sketched their spaces, Tease and The Parlor, as part of an International Women's Day celebration.

Léon Moh-Cah is a French 2D animator and sketch artist, interested in the beauty of everyday life. Her practice, mixing digital and traditional techniques, uses daily observation and travels as a main source of inspiration.

After completing BAs in graphic design and animation in Paris, Léon went on to study an Animation Masters at the Royal College of Art before embarking on her globetrotting adventures. Her animations have been screened and won awards across the world, and she continues to sketch, both for clients and herself, which is lucky, because Léon describes her sketchbook as “an extension of [her] arm”. She is never without her kit, the entirety of which fits in a small purse: an A6-A5 sketchbook, a watercolour palette the size of a phone, a brush, a 35mm film can of water, a pen and a pencil.

Summer books review for Wall Street Journal, illustrated by James Weston Lewis. James had a lot of fun illustrating the varied subject matter in the review all brought together through the concept of a vintage travel poster exhibition. Each poster had a link to one of the books reviewed, a literary reference, summer event or famous library.
