Doctor Who Time Capsule

Ruth Rowland works on the lettering for the limited edition Fourth Doctor Time Capsule for the BBC.
This luxury product aimed at the dedicated fan, celebrates Tom Baker and the 50th Anniversary of the Dr Who TV series, with a limited run of 5,000. Ruth Says "The box itself is designed to look like a Gallifreyan artefact and with this in mind, I was asked to create both English and Gallifreyan lettering for the DVD covers. This involved some very enjoyable research, looking at stills from old Doctor Who episodes and discussing the appropriate feel and layout of the two different alphabets with the art director. Once printed the title had the added bonus of only being legible once seen through the coloured disc provided." (Watch the video). The box set is 'lovingly put together' and full of Tom Baker goodies.

60 years of Bond

Eastwing illustrator Damian Gascoigne was asked to collaborate on a very exclusive new book project.

Vintage Classics and Bentley Motors have united to create a luxury special edition of CASINO ROYALE to mark 60 years of Bond, featuring a brand new introduction from racing legend Sir Stirling Moss.

Just 500 copies will be produced, each costing £750. This collector’s item will be on sale from 1st November exclusively from Random House.

From the hand-bound beluga leather casing to distinctive Bentley features such as hand-stitched embroidery and silver foil page edges, this special edition of Casino Royale is produced with only the very finest materials. Its striking red, white and black colouring is a nod to the gambling theme of Fleming’s first novel, where Bond famously takes on his adversary, Le Chiffre, over a game of baccarat. A special feature of this edition is the bespoke set of playing cards, hidden within a secret compartment. Throughout each book are evocative brush illustrations by the Award winning illustrator Damian Gascoigne.
