The theme was based on the 17 images of the area where Rob lives in Walthamstow, postcode E17. Parioli is a brand that is the real deal when it comes to Italian food products, all actually having been grown and produced in Italy. Andrew’s iconic flat colour, poster style was the perfect way to capture the beautiful Italian countryside whilst also demonstrating how this landscape in turn produces beautiful products. Think Hermes at a rave with a modern pop twist, vibrant joyous patterns that can morph from rock chic to a night at the Nutcracker.

The latest Karl Pilkington book "The Further Adventures Of An Idiot Abroad" was released recently, illustrated throughout byDominic Trevett . Dominic worked closely with the lovely folk at Canongate Books to produce an array of charming illustrations, maps and hand written elements to embellish each page and help document Karl's adventures across the globe as he attempts to undertake his Bucket List of '100 Things to Do Before You Die'.
Congratulations to Steve May, who won a Gold Award in the New Media category of the Association of Illustrator's competition Images 36: Best of British Illustration 2012. Steve's short animated film Anger, was commissioned by Picasso Pictures for the charity Reach Out and is about teenagers dealing with anger management issues.
Somerset House hosted the award ceremony and exhibition which showcases the winning work of over 50 artists and is on until 28th October in the Terrace Rooms, South Wing.
Rome: A 3-D Expanding City Skyline is published this month by Walker Books. Presented in a beautiful slipcase, this pocket guidebook features twelve of Rome’s most famous sites such as the Colosseum, St Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican City - all stylishly illustrated by Kristyna Litten. This is the second in the City Skyline series that she has illustrated, the first being Hong Kong and Macau.
Published this month by Hodder Children's Books, Claude In The Country is the fourth title in the series written and illustrated by Alex T Smith. Claude is a small, plump dog who wears a beret and a lovely jumper and leads an extraordinary life. A quiet walk in the country turns into a busy day on the farm when Claude ends up mucking out the pigs, feeding the chickens, and lassoing a fearsome bull!
Alex has achieved great things for such a relative newcomer. Claude is his first fiction series and Claude In The Citywas selected for the Richard and Judy Children's Book Club 2011 and shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2012. Two more titles will be published in 2013 and Claude has been translated into seven languages with foreign sales in over 10 countries across the globe.
