The Bright Group presents: Lee Wildish

Lee Wildish is a well known published illustrator of children’s books with many successful titles including ‘Mum And Dad Glue’ and ‘The Grunt And The Grouch’. His newest creation is ‘Swamp Life’, an action-packed adventure with lovable characters and an original and exciting story that children, adults and the whole family will love.  It’s a show-stopping extravaganza set in a soggy froggy swamp!!  Freddy lives happily in his swamp with his brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles and nieces and . . . well basically his very large family!  Life is peachy in this idyllic corner of Swamp Life until the status quo is temporarily disrupted by the arrival of the dastardly crocs, led by Patch – a cruel carnivore on a mission!  They are a mean but pretty unsuccessful group of miscreants that wander around causing havoc, trying to take over swamp after swamp after swamp.  However Patch & co hadn’t counted on coming across such a fearless little froggy as Freddy . . . the bravest amphibian for miles around!  Freddy stands up for what’s right and draws upon his endless source of friends to help him; the worker beavers; his family members and even singing toads from other swamps!

Swamp Life is just one of many successful new launches from The Bright Group International, which,  born out of the success of The Bright Agency, a leading illustration agency in children’s publishing, and The Bright Academy, a blossoming literary agency,  has been established to create outstanding children’s content across various commercial channels with longevity for the licensing industry. The Bright Group International aims to bring its valuable skill set and knowledge derived from eight years experience in children’s publishing to the licensing arena, producing a range of accomplished and exciting design-led properties with potential across all sectors.

Doing business with big names such as Harrods, Simon And Schuster and Random House, it was a natural progression to exploit this expertise across the board and The Bright Group International was founded with its mission statement to develop outstanding children’s content for various commercial channels. The BGI It will be showcasing four of these fabulous new creations, Swamp Life, Cowboy Carl, The Boglysaurus, and Barry The Fish With Fingers at the forthcoming Brand Licensing exhibition at Earl’s Court on the 30th September to the 1st October, stand 495.  Expect to see hilarious, one-off creations pitch-perfect for licensing, whether it be toys, games, animation or films.  We look forward to seeing you there!

‘If The Bright Group International can have the same level of success as it has done in developing illustrators then it will surely become a key player in contributing new and exciting content to the licensing industry on every level.’  Vicki Willden – Lebrecht, Managing Director.
