Thomas Flintham and Pamela Butchart Win The Children’s Book Award 2016
Blue Peter Best Story Award-Winners, Thomas Flintham and author Pamela Butchart, continued their winning streak when they were named overall winners of The Children's Book Award 2016, for My Headteacher is a Vampire Rat, published by Nosy Crow.
The Children’s Book Award (known as the Red House Children’s Book Award) is the only national award for children’s books that is voted for entirely by children themselves, nearly 100, 000 votes in total were cast. The winning duo were presented with the silver oak trophy by the children of Ipswich Children's Book Group.
Congratulations to Tom and Pam and look out for their latest title in the same series, To Wee or Not to Wee! which was published a couple of months ago.
