Booking is now open for House of Illustration's spring Sketchmeet. The illustrator, designer and typographer Rian Hughes will be setting the themes, so grab a drink, join a table and draw your way round the room.
Sketchmeet is their regular night of live sketching for all those who love to draw. It's also a chance to try out a selection of Winsor & Newton pens and drawing materials, including the Pigment Markers, the Pro Marker and the Brush Marker.
Every Sketchmeet sees a different co-host set the challenges. April's host, award-winning illustrator Rian Hughes, provides design, custom type and illustration for advertising campaigns, record sleeves, book jackets, graphic novels and television, under the name Device. Among other things, Rian has contributed to numerous exhibitions, illustrated children's books and written graphic novels.
As usual you’ll have the chance to exhibit your drawings as giant projections in the room, and we’ll be proudly posting a selection on House of Illustration’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
If you can't make it in person, join them via cyberspace and share your drawings on Twitter or Instagram using @illustrationHQ #sketchmeet.
Tickets are £5. Bar selling beer and soft drinks. |
