The Artworks welcomes multidisciplinary artist Lizzie King to the family!
The Artworks is very excited to introduce you to our newest artist to join the family: Lizzie King. Working across a variety of mediums including; window painting, prop making, pinatas(!) and illustration, Lizzie can consistently bring her signature brand of fun to any project.
Hailing from Hackney, Lizzie’s tropical flavoured works evoke all the good feelings, bright colours and warmth of hazy summer parties! Working across a variety of mediums including; window painting, prop making, pinatas(!) and illustration, Lizzie can consistently bring her signature brand of fun to any project.
“Some of my favourite projects have been quite different; I really enjoyed seeing my work in the windows of Primark on Oxford Street, somewhere I spent so much time walking up and down when I was younger. But then, I also had a lot of fun making these gigantic cardboard hands for a friends party.”
Taking influence from the Nickelodeon and Hanna Barbera cartoons she grew up with, Lizzie’s relentless curiosity and willingness to push the applications of her cartoon tinged work are what excites her most, and something she’s keen to explore further:
“I’d love to see more of my work applied to clothing and textiles, printed or painted! Both work!”
Having already worked with an impressive roster of clients like Lazy Oaf, Primark, Nike and Bestival, we can’t wait to see where (or on what) Lizzie’s work will end up next!
