Big welcome to Cat Finnie to the NB Team
Cat Finnie is a freelance illustrator, living in London, UK. She enjoys creating colourful, digital illustrations in a decorative, conceptual style, for a variety of clients.
Cat studied Graphic Design BA (Hons) at Nottingham Trent University, graduating with a First class degree.
Since graduating she has worked commercially in illustration, and design for animation, for clients that include: The Guardian (US), Which? Magazine, Tortoise Media, Longreads, Medium, and Macmillan.
Cat’s personal work often brings in an element of the surreal as she is interested in creating images with a dreamlike quality – a sense of ambiguity and the mysterious. Her influences and inspirations include René Magritte, Remedios Varo, Jorge Luis Borges, Tove Jansson, Angela Carter, and Ursula Le Guin.
