Javier Gonzalez Burgos for Citygate Outlets
Phosphor Art's Javier Gonzalez Burgos is excited to finally reveal a project he's been working on with Citygate Outlets, a mall close to Hong Kong International Airport. Specially curated by Javier, the "Dulce Melting Art Museum" is exclusively on display at the L2 Atrium. Javier's characters The Dulce Family have been brought to life and feature in a series of cool and immersive melting art installations that are perfect for selfies and photo-ops.
The museum features five "sweet and extraordinary melting scenes", including a "slippery prank" next to half-melted popsicles and a giant ice cream cake giving out a classic K-pop "finger heart".
Javier also created a set of kawaii WhatsApp stickers for the mall and all advertising materials for the museum, which can be spotted on the side of buses across Lantau and beyond.
This is not the first time Javier's characters have come to life in Hong Kong. Back in 2013, Times Square was transformed into a magical Christmas Forest with the installation of moveable structures, interactive displays and festive lighting. In between, Javier has transformed many public spaces across the world with his cute and colourful characters.
