ALEX T. SMITH’S COOP TROOP ITVX PREMIER
Grab your popcorn and get ready to watch the entertaining exploits of a gang of five unlikely heroes.
We are beyond excited to announce the premier of Alex T. Smith's latest animated project co-created with Colin Williams from Sixteen South, the award-winning children’s television creators and producers. Coop Troop arrives on our screens in the UK this month on ITVX kids!
Funny, fast, farcical, and feathery, the COOP TROOP features the adventures of farmyard animals: hyperactive rabbit Maggie, eccentric inventor Flo the chicken, bon vivant swine Clive, excitable lamb Billy and enigmatic egg, Jo d’Oeuf. Thirsty for adventure to escape their mundane farm life, the Coop Troop’s mission is to help any animal with a problem – and they’re kept very busy by the precious, pampered pets of neighbouring town, Animauville.
Alex’s inspiration came from somewhere very close to home – the joyous bustle of rescued hens that reside in his garden. This seed of an idea developed into “The A-Team but with farmyard animals”. Coop Troop is a funny and hugely appealing series with 52 episodes, aimed at 5 to 9 year olds. This bunch of unlikely heroes show how you can solve any problem with friendship and teamwork - a great message for any age.
Produced in Northern Ireland and France, the CGI animated series is a co-production with Mikros Animation IP along with France.tv and Tencent Video.
