Drawing inspiration from Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delights, the composition weaves together references to Black Rock City, kink culture, sensory play and the natural world, alongside nods to iconic works including Francisco de Goya's La Maja Desnuda. Much like Bosch's celebrated triptych, the piece rewards close inspection, with interconnected scenes and hidden details gradually revealing themselves.

Set against the creative backdrop of one of the world's most distinctive arts festivals, the work invites visitors to linger, explore and uncover something new with every viewing.

Satoshi Kambayashi for PLC Magazine

Satoshi Kambayashi for PLC Magazine (editorial, illustrator, Phosphor Art)

Phosphor's Satoshi Kambayashi has been working with PLC Magazine (the leading monthly magazine for business lawyers) for many years, often lending his unique skills to their cover. Satoshi revels in taking a tricky brief and sending multiple options for the client to choose from. This cover was based on an article called 'Algorithmic pricing under scrutiny: managing the risks' which was about companies using software or AI tools to dynamically set or recommend prices for their products - something which can create competition law risks for companies.

Satoshi Kambayashi is known for his great ability to solve a creative problem by providing brilliant quirky solutions with a sense of humour, which is why so many magazines rely on him to interpret and conceptualise their ideas.
