Phosphor's Jhon Boy recently won first prize at the Versiona Thyssen XIII, an open international competition for young creators. Artists are encouraged to make their own version of one of the paintings of the collection in the Thyssen Museum. Jhon Boy's piece recreated Charles Willson Peale's portrait of The Stewart Children in his signature style.
The 13th edition of #VersionaThyssen featured Alexey Kondakov, SakoAsko and Chamosan as guest artists and jury members. The awards ceremony was held in the museum's garden in June and featured a performance by Dani.

Phosphor has recently taken on a wonderful new artist. Florencia Rigiroli (also known as Un floripondio) is an Argentinian illustrator and art director, who likes to create colourful illustrations focused on nature, botanicals and the female figure.
Bill is the recipient of multiple awards including the prestigious 'Key Art' award for his illustration for Batman, and has painted primary poster images for a variety of film genres from Sci-Fi classics like Mad Max to comedies such as Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life and Brazil.
Phosphor's Trina and Christine had a wonderful time at the London Book Fair recently, showing off art by some of their talented illustrators who create artwork for children's books. They created a book featuring a quiz about their illustrators, including Christopher Nielsen (whose art can be seen on the cover) Beatrice Simpkiss, Iris de Luz, Jonathan Leach, Luella Wright and Lee Ford.
