What do Caterpillars Dream of? Meet Bright Artist Clive McFarland


From a galaxy far, far away to a beautifully-illustrated book near you…. this was definitely one of those projects that was difficult to keep a secret, especially as it began unfolding in such a magnificent way. This year, we managed to land our very own resident Star Wars fantastic Tim McDonagh the brief of his dreams: to illustrate an entire Star Wars book.


Jessica Courtney-Tickle is an incredible talent. Her soft and misty landscapes are dream-like and comforting. The perfect, peaceful way to send little ones off to sleep at night. Her debut picture book is due out in February and published by Egmont. The theme is environmentally friendly as is the material from which the book is made; Egmont use paper sourced from sustainable forests, which is the first message you see on opening the book.

Written and illustrated by Duncan Beedie, his second children's book 'The Lumberjack's Beard' has hit the shelves!
It was the computer games of Thomas Flintham’s childhood in the 90’s that inspired him to go on to write a series of stories called Press Start! The first book in the series, Game Over, Super Rabbit Boy! is published this month in the US by Scholastic and will hit the shops in the UK in August.
Bloomsbury have released brand-new hardback editions of J.K. Rowling’s Hogwarts Library Books with these irresistible new jacket illustrations by Jonny Duddle. Quidditch Through the Ages and The Tales of Beedle the Bard are published this month with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them released in March. (more…)

Dave Mottram lives in Ohio with his wife, daughter and black lab, Gracie. He drew so much as kid, he would occasionally run out of paper. There were paper bags filled with Dave’s art all over the house. Still drawing after all these years, he now enjoys watching his daughter draw all the time. The circle continues! His latest book, Race Car Dreams published with Running Press Kids in September 2016.
