Fact + Fiction started life as revolutionary gym bag brand GymTote, founded in 2012 by gym junkie Helena Searcaigh and handbag designer and mum of two Nicola Kearney.

Mike was commissioned by Bourne Leisure - the owners of the famous British holiday resort chain Butlins, to design vector-based, isometric maps for each of their resorts - Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness.
To be used as an app for visitors, they were drawn entirely using Adobe Illustrator and were designed to be fully interactive, easily navigable and geographically accurate, with georeferencing applied by the app developers for accurate GPS data. Mike adds, "They were also intended to be bright, colourful and retro to match their new branding.
Another key feature of the app reveals itself when the user zooms into each map: the central Pavilion roof 'opens' to reveal the shop and restaurant layout beneath and the names and unit numbers of each accommodation block appear."
