Luiza Laffitte/Tastillery

Five alcohol themed advent calendars are handsomely illustrated by Luiza Laffitte for Tastillery.

Luiza worked with Parisian agency Millecent on the project which involved her creating packaging illustrations for calendars containing 24 taste bottles of Gin, Whisky, Rum, Scotch and World Spirits.

Luiza adds, "To represent each drink, we focused on a main theme and color, each box has a unique universe and feeling. We also focused on making something amusing, each box has a lot of fun and crazy details."

See the calendars here.

IRS CALENDAR

Embracing a paper theme, Gail Armstrong was commissioned by the IRS in America to supply illustrations for their 2013 calendar. The calendar highlights key dates in the financial year and gives tips on completing accounts and tax forms, and as this was the last year of producing a paper version before switching over to digital forms, it seemed more than appropriate to ask a paper sculptress to come up with the goods! Gail says "...(the images) closely reflected the text of each month...(and) the tone throughout was reasonably light-hearted, yet authoritative, some of the images being created using tax forms, brown envelopes and ledger paper." Jameson’s 2011 calendar

Talented artist Graham Evernden has recently been applying his skills to the Jameson Whisky 2011 calendar. His strong black and white imagery, with a traditional slant, works perfectly for the timeless  style of branding that Jameson are known for. Producing ten illustrations for the calendar, Graham's work depicts the rich history of the company, and with such great work, we'll drink to that!
