MARK IS is a shopping mall located in Minato Mirai , Yokohama, Japan. The image is for their 4th anniversary, so the main of the image is a birthday cake with a couple making the number ‘4’ with their bodies. MARK IS requested Debbie to decorate the cake with people who come to their shopping building and to put some landmarks of Yokohama in the image. There were many things to be drawn in the image, and Debbie did it perfectly!
In the depths of winter 2016 Sarah Maycock and Tom were invited to the Natural History Museum to discuss a new and exciting (top-secret) project. Ushered through a side door they gathered round a grand table in one of the many rooms of the museum that are closed off to the general public. Benji from Weidemann Lampe showed us some complex looking floor-plans, which were the initial thinkings of the 'Whales: Beneath the Surface' exhibition that opened it's door in July 2017.
We are delighted to share the outcome of Peter Strain’s recent collaboration with Pottermore. Peter was commissioned to create these four bespoke and highly covetable typographical art prints, each celebrating an iconic quotation from one of the seven Harry Potter books.
Phosphor Art's Marcus the Illustrator has been working on a number of illustrations for Eat Street Barcelona to promote their exciting street food events. As you may be able to tell from some of Marcus' illustrations there's a competition between chefs at Eat Street, seeing them create their own interpretations of the same dish or type of cuisine.
Phosphor Art's Luella Wright has been working hard on some illustrations with Jungle Creative for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool. Her cute characters have been used so far to decorate the walls of the hospital and for apps, games and books for the patients to interact with.
We are delighted to showcase two specialty menu designs for US-based pizzeria Mellow Mushroom. Andrew Archer and Mark Ward were selected to “create a menu people would want to steal” - a fabulous objective from the founder of Mellow Mushroom and their agency BooneOakley. With so much creative freedom, each artist was able imagine their perfect pizza world for the cover and interior of Mellow Mushroom’s menus.
Phosphor Art's Nod Young was recently commissioned to create a set of colourful and unusual emojis but unfortunately the project was cancelled half way through. Nod decided to carry on with the project for himself and made the emojis free to download. We think they're really fun!
