Arena artists Aleksei Bitskoff, Jonny Duddle, Thomas Flintham and Adam Stower lead a monstrous day of drawing monsters in our Big Draw event at Discover Children's Story Centre in Stratford on Saturday 15th October. Monster Mash will be a drawing extravaganza for children of all ages, with a chance of winning lots of great prizes.
Jonny Duddle, the creator of best-selling picture book The Pirate Cruncher, has a new pirate adventure published in October by Templar. The Pirates Next Door stars the Jolley-Rogers, the pirate family who move to Dull-on-Sea and cause no end of rumours amongst the locals. But for their next door neighbour Matilda, life suddenly gets more interesting.
The first edition hardcover has a fold-out poster of the Jolly-Rogers and there's a stunning double gatefold inside.

Frances Castle has set up her own record label, Clay Pipe Music. She makes music as well as collaborating with other musicians and has combined this interest with her passion for design. Each release comes with a beautifully crafted cover and book, designed and hand printed by Frances herself, making every limited edition CD unique and collectable.
We've put together a selection of Frances' illustrations from her forthcoming CD inspired by Tyneham, the deserted 'ghost' village in Dorset that was taken over by the army in World War 2.
