Monstrous Book of Monsters

Jonny Duddle and Aleksei Bitskoff have teamed up to illustrate The Monstrous Book of Monsters, published by Templar this month. The book is written in notebook form with pop-up and lift-up elements for readers to delve into. It's packed with plenty of foul facts on how to spot and avoid monsters, including defensive tactics, monstrous infections, monster myths and monster mysteries.

This is Aleksei's debut picture book, and Jonny's second book with Templar, following his hugely successful picture book The Pirate Cruncher.

Welcome to Monsterville

Discover Children's Story Centre in Stratford, East London and 3 monstertastic illustrators have teamed up to create a brand new exhibition: Welcome to Monsterville.
Arena's Neal Layton (Emily Browne) has collaborated with Sarah McIntyre (You can't Eat a Princess) and Ed Vere (Mr Big) to create a strange and fantastic world of revoltingly adorable monsters for an unbelievably hideous and funny experience.
The exhibition runs until March 2012.

VHS horror film covers

Graham Humphreys has created this image for Total Film to illustrate an interview about the VHS horror film covers commissioned by Palace Pictures in the 1980s.
The columnist Sam Ashurst, is represented as the central zombie with an array of characters from his favourite films of the era. The layout is arranged to emulate a classic VHS cover.
