Advice and Insights from Phosphor’s Top Artists

Phosphor Art are running a feature on their website called Meet the Artist, a simple five question interview which aims to gain a better insight into the world of their artists. Most recently featured was Chinese artist Nod Young who told Phosphor all about his current self-initiated comic book project and advises aspiring artists to grab every opportunity.

"I'm originally from Lincolnshire but have Irish and Scottish family. I now live and work in Birmingham. My inspiration comes from reading books. The last book I read was The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson. A brilliant book.
I love illustrators such as Laura Carlin, Ralph Steadman, Luke Best. There's far too many to mention. I used to collect starwars figures, but I've grown out of it. I dont have any room to collect things. I have a spare room but I've turned into a makeshift studio.
