Spike Gerrell's hilarious illustrations feature in James Dawson's This Book is Gay, published by Hot Key Books this month. A funny and pertinent book about being lesbian, bisexual, gay, queer, transgender or just curious, Spike's images are the perfect foil for James' wit and wisdom. Patrick George was commissioned by Cinco, Portland USA to provide a range of illustrations as part of a new campaign for Microsoft Global Recruiting.
Entitled "Right Now", the campaign storytelling breaks down into five themes about areas of work, such as natural user interfaces and cloud computing.
Part of the brief was wanting an irreverent attitude to come through, to be fun, playful and provocative, without being glib.

Alex T Smith's exciting new picture book 'Primrose', is published by Scholastic this month. Primrose is a princess who just wants to have fun but the King tells her off for climbing trees and the Queen shrieks when she catches her jumping on the bed with Percy the pug. She isn't allowed to dig in the garden or cook cakes in the kitchen, her life is boring, boring, boring! This is until Grandmama comes for a visit and reminds everyone in the royal household how important it is to have some belly-laughs. This book is very pink, feisty and a lot of fun - it's available in hardback, paperback and the ebook is narrated by Lucy Porter through Me Books. Alex T Smith is represented by Arena
