Cooking for Chaps: Illustrated by David Hitch

Cooking for Chaps is a stylish, cookbook with a difference, it's an essential guide to gastronomy for the man about town, written by Gustav Temple, editor of The Chap magazine. Gustav specifically requested David Hitch to illustrate his first cookery book as he felt that the illustrator, well known of his PG Wodehouse covers, could capture the quintessential English gentleman. David's colour and black and white illustrations beautiful compliment the recipes and advice for the modern gentleman to ensure culinary magnificence.

Mary Woodin ‘Classic Bakes’ illustrations

A little booklet of “Classic Bakes’ illustrated by Mary Woodin comes with October’s Ideal Home magazine. Mary was asked to illustrate classic recipes from the magazine’s archives dating right back to 1920. A keen cook, Mary was delighted to have an excuse to dig out her battered rolling pin and vintage whisk to create these evocative illustrations!

Marian Hill for Hutchinson

Marian Hill was commissioned by Hutchinson to illustrate the cover for "Tomorrow There Will Be Apricots" by Jessica Soffer.

Marian's beautiful illustration, created by collaging together tiny pieces of magazine, is perfectly suited to the story of an Iraqi immigrant woman and an almost-orphan in New York City, brought together by cookery lessons.
